FRom Greg Hanson May 20th

This week is 'chock' full of drumming.

FYI - this month's Ultimate Day of Djembe in Boulder is shorter than usual due to a community drum circle in Denver with a

performance by the Front Range Community Djembe Orchestra! -aka -

"F.R.C. DjO"! The 'tuning' class will be ommitted this time - it

will be 'on' for next month for sure tho!

The three community drum circles are in three locations -Lafayette, Denver, and Boulder and occur at different times of day & evening.

Hopefully one or more of these times & locations will serve you. So, here's the scoop(s) and if you want even more info on the many

drumming thangs happening all along our constantly 'vibrating' front range -

We'd like to remind you of this upcoming event. The Journey Drum Circle

meets from 3-5 pm on the second and fourth Sundays of each month, at the

Cheshire Cat Brewpub, 7803 Ralston Road in Arvada.

This drum circle is open to all levels of percussionists, beginner to advanced, and all styles of percussion. The emphasis is on community in

rhythm, not on showing off. The venue is a nice little pub in historic

Arvada, where food and drink are readily available, but no purchase is required. You may want to bring a bottle of water or something if you don't want to buy anything there.

Hope to see you this Sunday at 3 pm. All Souls Rhythm Circle (CS)

Date: Saturday, May 1, 2004

Time: 7:00PM - 9:00PM MDT

All Souls Unitarian Church hosts a well-attended drum circle in Colorado Springs on the first Saturday of each month. Drumming begins at 7pm and runs until 9ish.

It's at 730 North Tejon (Tejon and Dale Streets), Colorado Springs, CO 80903.

This is a wonderful circle and is the longest running circle in Colorado Springs. The room that we drum in is one of the best sounding that I know of around .We will not be moving this circle outdoors this year as when we did attendance was very low!!
