RichSpirit's Finished Ashiko Drums are popular because of their light weight, amazing sound and beauty. The drums are made of salvaged redwood,pine, poplar,oak, ash and cedar; the head is goat skin (with or without fur); the rope is black climbing rope; the rings of welded 1/4" steel are padded and wrapped with extraordinary fabric. The drums have an appreciated resonating base, a high pitched edge, and a loud sharp slap.

- Short Ashiko Drum Kit includes rings, skin, rope, and a complete instructional booklet that includes how to cut the staves (wood). It is available for $70 for the 24" tall and $65 for the 18" tall. You will need to have access to a table saw plus what's listed above. Creating the jig is sort of tricky so you need to have prior woodworking experience before attempting to cut a drum.

Rings
Custom set of 3 : $15.00 (measure the circumference of the outside of the top of the drum and the circumference along where you want the bottom ring to be placed. Give us these measurements and we will cut and weld your rings to fit. Indicate whether you want your spacing to be a close fit (no wrapping of rings) or spaced for wrapping rings. (Space between the ring and the drum body)

Dream Instrument Collection
The dream whistle is a meditative breath instrument conceived and created by Rich Spirit. Eliciting a multitude of sounds, it resonates the chakras and restores balance to the "chi". It is made of the flowering stalk of the Agave cactus and a unique ceramic mouth piece. Sm: $125 / Med: $150 / Large: $185
A shorter version of the Dream Whistle called the Dream Horn is played by gently blowing and cupping the hand at the bottom of the horn. Sm: $50 / Lg: $80.
A six holed Dream Recorder is also available $75.
The Dream Drum is a tunable drum made from the flowering stalk of the agave cactus $175-190.
The Dream base and Dream Chelo are soon to be available.

ForRest Star is deep in the El Dorado Forest, 45 miles from Placerville. Far from the lights and sounds of the city, we will be gathering to learn what others have to offer and to teach what we know.
